Malaysia trip to Genting, Camerons and Bukit Tinggi (now known as Berjaya Hills Resorts)

Didn't take much photos in Genting as it's always the same... and maybe I go too often... kekeke

In Camerons

In Bukit Tinggi

Year 2006....

These are some events since the last blog in Feb

1) Art of StarWars

For our 10th month anniversary, Elsie and I went to the Art of StarWars Exhibition... There were no problems taking photographs despite the restriction on flash photography cos of my super "steady" hands!

An Imperial Star Destroyer... straight at me!
Didn't know storm troopers were this tall! no wonder Luke was "a little short for a storm trooper"
Ahhh, the light sabre, wish I had one... would be a useful utility knife..
2) Chinese Garden Lantern Light Up

Angry elephant looking at me

Ahhh, he turned towards me!

Flying Pelicans!

3) Arrival of a new member of the family!

4) Went to a spot on Changi reclaimed lands with a Picanto Group

5) A trip to a little fishing village in Johor called Kukup

Shingles...

Ahh... Shingles doesn't sound like a disease, actually it sounds rather pleasent!! (haha think "shingle bells shingle bells") But it turns out to be a disease affecting the nerves under the skin.

Some information can about shingles can be found here:

http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/shingles/shingles.htm
http://health.yahoo.com/ency/healthwise/hw75433

Currently it's been 3-4 days since i've realised that i might have shingles, the pain i experience is mostly due to a headache, and not the shingles on my face... however, it could be that i have shingles on my head...

My eye lid has swollen a little, making me feel a little odd. Other than the headache, shingles are quite bearable... unless it gets worse in the days to come.. Below is a picture of what it looks like.. for those faint hearted, please dun look...

8 & 9 of Jan, the wettest days of my life. We set of to a rainy morning from Changi Jetty to Pegerrang. Surprisingly, when we reached Malaysia's shore, the rain stopped and the sun rose!

However halfway through our one and a half hour journey, the sky opened up and hurled raindrops after raindrops at us. We managed to find a shelter, but after realising that the rain would not stop, we carried on to our destination.

Ahh, finally we have reached Sg. Ringit! After taking a shower, the rain finally let up. After spending all the energy getting here, we needed to find a place to top up our tanks. What better way than to go for the famous and cheap seafood here! Too bad I was too hungry to take any photos there!

2nd day. We were going home and the sky was still pouring out more juice! Defiantly, we cycled in the rain. On the way back to the jetty, we came to this mango farm which sells honey mangos!! A few of us bought some back to try...

We've reached Singapore, and the rain is as heavy as ever! For some, it's the end of the trip as they rented bicycles from Changi Village. As for me, it's still a 30 mins cycle home, and it's raining as hard as ever. What a memorable trip!
